• Self-separable H 2 fuel without forming CO x over 2D SnS/g-C 3 N 4 heterojunction. Selective redox-reactions enabled higher value-added liquid chemicals. Ultra-stable new-record efficiency in producing with low-cost catalyst. Sustainable constructive utilization of elements from alcohols. To reach Paris Agreement’s target 1.5 °C global temperature increase by 2100, low emission strategies are crucial. In synthetic chemistry, the phototransformation light alcohols (methanol, ethanol and iso-propanol) into hydrogen chemicals promises high potential utility value for industry.
